CASE STUDY

Electricity is one of energy that is easiest to transfer, most efficient, and most used in the world. Therefore, electricity demand is increasing each year. To meet the growing electricity demand, power plant and its transmission line must be built. Renewable energy is energy that is collected from renewable resources, which are naturally replenished on a human timescale, such as utilizing wind speed, solar power, and hydropower. However, in Indonesia renewable energy power generation has grown as a result of clean energy policies. One of the fastest growing of these green energy sources is solar power.

DELIVERABLES

To determine the maximum capacity of the PV Farms that may penetrate the Northern Sulawesi system without destabilizing it, while taking into account the addition of BESS to support the intermittency of the PV Farm. The BESS will be implemented with a ramp rate control/ smoothing as its primary function.
